Village of Oblong is Picking Up Yard Waste

(Oblong) – The Village of Oblong has begun yard waste pick-up. Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, reminds Village residents that Oblong Public Works employees will be picking up yard waste such as sticks and leaves for the next few weeks for residents inside the Oblong Village limits. She says the public is asked to bag leaves and leave beside the roadway. While sticks can be pilled in the ditch curbside. She says when you have your waste ready for pick up, please call the Oblong Public Works office at 618-592-3122 Monday-Friday between 8 a.m.-1 p.m., and you will be added to the list.
