(Undated) — The Illinois Commerce Commission has cut $55.8 million from Ameren Illinois’ rate request for its natural gas delivery services. Ameren had requested $128.8 million. The ICC also approved a 9.60 percent return on equity, a reduction from the company’s requested 10.70 percent ROE. Citizen’s Utility Board spokesman, Jim Chilsen, says this decision by the ICC is a good one.

The ICC’s ruling on Wednesday exceeds the reduction recommended by two administrative law judges last month.
