You are reminded that if you are purchasing gifts online, have those items delivered to an address where you know someone will be there to accept them. Other ways to keep your package safe include making a signature for the package mandatory, checking with the shipping company about “driver instructions,” or arranging to have a neighbor you trust to pick up packages that are left when you are gone. Another great option is to see if you can have packages delivered to you at work. The public is also reminded to keep a watchful eye out, and if you see suspicious activity report it to the authorities.
