Oblong Village Board Meets Today

(Oblong) — The Oblong Village Board meets this afternoon. On the agenda, the board will hear from Nick Hintersher from Floyd’s Place regarding New Year’s Eve hours. They will also discuss and possibly approve an ordinance to condemn an “unsafe and dangerous” building at 406 South Adams and an ordinance implementing a non-home rule municipal retailers’ occupation tax and a non-home rule municipal service occupation tax for the Village. They will also receive an update on adjoining two lots in the Park Meadows subdivision. The Oblong Village Board meets this afternoon at 5 p.m. in the Farley Room of the Municipal Building.
