Crawford County Seeking Input from the Public

By Tony Collins Dec 11, 2025 | 6:35 AM

(Undated) — The CCDA is inviting the public to attend an educational meeting next week. Crawford County was awarded $70,830 as a “phase 2 application recipient” from the Energy Transition Community Grant. This grant is awarded by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. CCDA Executive Director, Resa Shaner, says the County must now determine how the funds are to be used and seek public input. She says due to the “urgent need” for extensive Annex repairs, the County Board wants to use the funds to help preserve the historic building. The public is invited to attend an informational meeting and tour the Annex on Monday, December 15th, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and on December 16th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. The public is invited to “become a part of the stakeholder engagement process.”
