(Undated) — A forecasted blast of winter weather has prompted a “Winter Weather Advisory.” According to this morning’s “Hazardous Weather Outlook” from the National Weather Service, snow will overspread central Illinois from the northwest this afternoon and continue through tonight. They say by early tomorrow morning, most of central Illinois will see between 2 and 5 inches of snow, though amounts taper off quickly south of a Rushville to Lawrenceville line. They say another clipper system will bring accumulating snow to portions of central Illinois Saturday afternoon and evening. Another shot of Arctic air will arrive late this week, with wind chills well below zero on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. The “Winter Weather Advisory” goes into effect at 3 p.m. this afternoon and will remain in effect until 6 a.m. tomorrow.
