Avoid Snacking in 2026

(Undated) – If you are thinking about making a New Year’s Resolution to get healthier in 2026, cut out the “snacking.” A new study suggests that Americans consume an additional meal each day simply by snacking. Researchers at Ohio State University studied data from over twenty thousand individuals and found that Americans consume up to five hundred calories daily from snacks alone, which is often more calories than breakfast but with less nutritional value. A senior author of the study said snacks are contributing “a meal’s worth of intake” to our diets without actually being a meal.
