Law Enforcement Continue “Step-Up” Holiday Patrols

(Undated) — As drivers head “over the river and through the woods” over the next several days, departments statewide are continuing “stepped-up” traffic safety efforts. Through January 5th, local officers are joining the ISP in taking part in the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over,” “Drive High Get a DUI,” and “Click It or Ticket” campaigns. These enforcement efforts are supported by the Illinois Department of Transportation. This campaign is made possible through federal highway safety funds administered by IDOT and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
