(Undated) — While respiratory illness season storms on, one virus continues to be the unfortunate leader of them all. According to medical experts around the state, “the flu” is dominating the other viruses like COVID-19, RSV, and Norovirus. The Crawford County Health Department, IDPH, and CDC remind the public that seasonal flu shots are available and recommended for anyone six months and older. Aside from getting the shot, officials are reminding people of the three C’s: Clean your hands, Cover your cough and sneezes, and Contain, which means to stay home if you are sick. If you have flu-like symptoms like fever, cough, chills, body aches, and headaches for more than two days, contact your medical provider.
