Gas Prices Climb Higher

(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded has ticked higher over the last week. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the current national average is $2.86 per gallon, two cents higher than last Friday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $2.96, up six cents from a week ago. Across the Wabash in Indiana, drivers are paying an average of $2.85 a gallon, a penny drop from last Friday. Oklahoma drivers continue to enjoy the lowest prices nationwide, with a statewide average of $2.38 per gallon, eight cents higher than the 16th. Drivers in California are paying the highest at $4.18 a gallon, a penny higher than last Friday.
