(Robinson) — The City of Robinson is preparing for the incoming winter weather. Robinson Mayor, Mike Shimer, says with the forecast of a significant weather event approaching, the City of Robinson’s snow removal equipment is in place, and crews will begin pre-treating main snow routes and school zones. Shimer reminds drivers that it is important to give pre-treatment crews or snow plows plenty of space if you see them out working on road conditions. He says if you are on a main snow route, please move your vehicles off the street so that crews can safely clear streets. Vehicles parked in marked “snow routes” will be ticketed if snow accumulation reaches two inches or more. Shimer says if you need to be out, drive slowly, be patient, give yourself extra time to reach your destination, and be prepared for difficult travel conditions.
