(Undated) — An extreme cold warning remains in effect. According to the National Weather Service, dangerously cold wind chills as low as 27 below zero will persist through the day today. The latest “Hazardous Weather Outlook” north winds gusting up to 25 to 30 mph may produce blowing and drifting snow, especially on west-east oriented roadways. Overnight and morning wind chills near 10 to 20 below will be common the rest of the upcoming week. The recent snowfall will stick around for a while as daytime highs aren’t forecast to move above freezing until early February.
