Gas Prices Slip Lower Over the Weekend

(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded fell a nickel over the weekend. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $2.85 a gallon. Here in Illinois, the statewide average has dropped three cents to $2.99 from Friday. Across the Wabash in Indiana, drivers are paying an average of $2.79 a gallon, seven cents lower than Friday. Oklahoma drivers continue to enjoy the lowest prices nationwide, with a statewide average of $2.27 per gallon, down three cents from Friday. Drivers in California are paying the highest at $4.39 a gallon, two cents higher than last Friday.
