(Undated) – There were a couple of records set at the Illinois State Fair during the “Governor’s Sale of Champions.” The “Grand Champion Steer” belonging to Kade Gensini (jen-seen—ee) of Putnam County brought in one-hundred-ten-thousand dollars at Wednesday night’s sale, which is a new Illinois State Fair record. Grundy County resident Chace Riley’s “Land of Lincoln Grand Champion Steer” also set a record at sixty-five thousand dollars.
