Gas Prices Fall Over the Weekend

(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded fell over the weekend. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the current national average is $2.86 per gallon, a nine-cent drop from Friday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is once again below the three-dollar mark at $2.99, a nickel below Friday. Across the Wabash in Indiana, drivers are paying an average of $2.80 a gallon, six cents below Friday’s average. Oklahoma drivers continue to enjoy the lowest prices nationwide, with a statewide average of $2.25 per gallon, down four cents from Friday. Drivers in California are paying the highest at $4.50 a gallon, two cents lower than Friday.
