Gas Prices Slipped Lower Over the Weekend

(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded fell over the weekend. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $2.89, a six-cent drop from Friday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average remains below the three-dollar mark, at $2.91, four cents lower. Across the Wabash in Indiana, drivers are paying an average of $2.67, six cents lower than on Friday. Oklahoma drivers continue to enjoy the lowest prices nationwide, with a statewide average of $2.29 per gallon, up three cents over the weekend. Drivers in California are paying the highest at $4.55 a gallon, two cents lower than last week.
