February 19th Tornado Rated EF-1

(Undated) — Last week’s tornado that hit parts of Crawford County has been categorized as an EF-1. According to National Weather Service investigators, the tornado touched down about three miles southeast of Hardinville at around 5:20 p.m. on Thursday, staying on the ground for about five miles and reaching a top speed of 110 mph with a max width of 400 yards before it dissipated about 2 miles northwest of Flat Rock. The tornado, categorized as n EF-1, was reportedly just one mile per hour shy of being an EF-2.
