My Chemical Romance’s Gerard Way has teamed up with death metal band Frozen Soul for the single ‘No Place Of Warmth’ – listen below.
The band from Fort Worth, Texas are preparing to release their new album, also titled ‘No Place Of Warmth’, on May 8 via Century Media, the follow-up to 2023’s ‘Glacial Domination’.
Frozen Soul frontman Chad Green has said the track is “about life at its coldest and the choice you have to let it consume you, or to use it to find warmth in a world that feels void of it. Life is always coming at you, and death doesn’t stop – you might slow it down, but it’s always coming – so you have to make the best out of it and march on.”

Green also revealed how the collaboration with Way came about: “We met Gerard a couple of years ago and have become friends. I knew he had a love for metal, so I spun the idea to him about singing in a Frozen Soul song and he was stoked! Gerard is an amazing artist and musician whose creative vision has shaped generations and more to come.”
As for My Chemical Romance, they recently wiped their X account, prompting many fans to speculate that an announcement might be on its way.
They are also playing their huge ‘The Black Parade’ tour in the UK, Europe and North America this year, in celebration of the titular album’s 20th anniversary. The UK leg kicks off with a show at Liverpool‘s Anfield Stadium on June 30 and it later includes a trio of shows at Wembley Stadium in London in July. They have also announced the huge list of support acts for the tour, which includes the likes of Echo & The Bunnymen, Interpol, Joan Jett, Skunk Anansie, Sunny Day Real Estate and Mogwai.
My Chemical Romance’s recent concerts have seen them play ‘The Black Parade’ in its entirety, along with rarities from that era and some hits. At a show in LA over the summer, MCR debuted an unreleased track titled ‘War Beneath The Rain’.
