Gas Prices Slip Lower Over the Weekend

(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded fell over the weekend. According to GasBuddy.com, the current national average is $2.95 a gallon, five cents below Friday’s average. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is unchanged at $3.03 a gallon. Across the Wabash in Indiana, drivers are paying an average of $2.79, down four cents from the end of last week. Oklahoma drivers continue to enjoy the lowest prices nationwide, with an average of $2.42 a gallon, a penny higher than Friday. Drivers in California are paying the highest prices at the pump with a statewide average of $4.58, four cents higher than Friday.
