(Undated) — Despite freezing rain this morning, we could see “above average” temperatures for the start of Spring.
Illinois State Climatologist, Trent Ford, says current models also show above-average precipitation.
Ford says that’s welcome news, as most of Illinois is playing catch-up in the moisture game. Drought impacts haven’t changed much this winter, with concern growing in east central Illinois, where D3 or extreme drought status is in play.
