Gas Prices Jump as Oil Prices Surge

(Undated) — Gas prices continue to surge, driven by rising oil prices. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average has climbed to $3.31 a gallon, up thirty-six cents from Monday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $3.37 a gallon, thirty-four cents higher than Monday. Across the Wabash in Indiana, drivers are paying an average of $3.23, up forty-four cents from the beginning of the week. Oklahoma drivers continue to enjoy the lowest prices nationwide, with an average of $2.81 a gallon, thirty-nine cents higher than Monday. Drivers in California are paying the highest prices at the pump with a statewide average of $4.82, twenty-four cents higher than Monday.
