(Undated) — A blast of cold weather is forecast for Sunday and Monday. According to the latest “Hazardous Weather Outlook” from the National Weather Service, a “strong cold front” is expected to move across the region on Sunday. They say showers and strong storms are possible ahead of the front on Sunday, and behind the front, rain will change to snow as temperatures drop sharply. They say minor accumulations appear possible. In addition, “sub-zero wind chill” values are possible Sunday night and again Monday night. The current forecast calls for daytime highs on Sunday of 70, with overnight lows around 27. Snow is “likely” on Monday morning.
