Rutan and Brock Win in Primary

(Undated) — The Primary Election is in the books, and one incumbent was upset. According to the “unofficial” vote totals, Crawford County Sheriff, Bill Rutan, won the Republican nomination for Sheriff, beating challenger Brent Dotson by a narrow 53% to 46% margin, or around 200 votes. However, the current Crawford County Treasurer, Rikki Callaway, lost to challenger Stacey Brock, who received 63% of the votes to become the Republican nominee for Treasurer in November. The Crawford County Public Safety Tax Proposition failed to pass, receiving just 811 “YES” votes to 2,098 “NO” votes.
