This week, Gabe, Scott, and I were all joined by the senior Editor of Baseball Prospectus, Craig Goldstein! While it comes as no surprise to those of you who have continued to follow the podcast, I had more technical issues that I had to battle through once again, and I was mostly featured at the beginning and end. The boys took over during the meat of the episode and really leaned into PECOTA and several areas of their projection system.
Thankfully, however, friends of the show, Ben and Nate from “Talking About Birds,” are both more computer-savvy individuals and helped me identify and resolve the potential core issue that I have been experiencing when attempting to record. We took out the rinky-dink 4.0 GB of RAM that came pre-installed in my computer and gave that bad boy a BIG upgrade with a 16.0 GB stick of RAM! I am excited and optimistic that the quality of the show will return to its previous standard, if not higher.
Next week, we will be joined by pre- and post-host of the Cardinals Radio Network, Matt Pauley! Matt joined us last year around this time, and we hope to make it an annual tradition to have him join us before the start of the season. Matt was boots on the ground in Jupiter for the first 3 weeks of spring camp before returning home, and we will look to get his insight into spring camp, the vibes around the team, and what he is looking forward to most about the 2026 season.
