Severe Weather and Falling Temperatures Remain in the Forecast

(Undated) — The latest forecast is calling for the potential for severe weather. According to the current “Hazardous Weather Outlook,” from the National Weather Service, isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected to push into the southeast portion of the state this afternoon and into the evening, continuing until 4 a.m. tomorrow. They say there is a slight risk of severe storms from Effingham to Robinson. Large hail, damaging winds, and possible tornadoes remain in the forecast. Cooler temperatures will return on the other side of the front, bringing daytime highs in the low fifties to low sixties through the weekend. Temperatures will climb back into the upper seventies and low eighties through next week.
