Statesmen Fall to Southwestern

(Robinson) — The LTC Statesmen fell to Southwestern Illinois yesterday by a final score of 18-14. Bryce Brabender hit two home runs and drove in four in the losing effort. Isaac Waggner pitched four innings in relief for the Statesmen, giving up five runs on seven hits, striking out two, and walking one. Cam Baker stepped on the hill first, surrendering six hits and eight runs over two innings, striking out two and walking two. With the loss, the Statesmen fall to 14-14 overall, 6-6 in Region 24 play. They will be back in action tomorrow for a road game at Kaskaskia.
