(Oblong) — The Village of Oblong is turning blue. According to Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, the Village is working on turning Oblong blue in recognition of “Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month.” April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, dedicated to raising awareness and strengthening families to prevent child maltreatment. The month emphasizes proactive, collaborative approaches to support families and protect children. Fielder says the Village is asking everyone to join in the effort by putting a blue ribbon out, changing your porch light to blue, or putting a blue pinwheel in your yard. Visit theguardiancenter.org for more information on what you can do to prevent child abuse.
