(Undated) — The Crawford County Development Association announced last week that they will be receiving just over two point one million dollars as part of the state’s “Regional Site Readiness Program.” Governor, JB Pritzker, and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity recently announced an additional thirty million dollars in funding for the program. The CCDA says the money will be used for the acquisition of 123 acres to create the “Crawford County Industrial Park,” to be located at the intersection of Route 1 and Route 33. They say “this incredible investment is a major step forward for our community and will help drive economic growth, create opportunities, and strengthen Crawford County’s future.” This investment is part of Governor Pritzker’s $500 million FY2026 site readiness initiative.
