Dana Announces Closure of Robinson Facility

(Robinson) — A major Crawford County employer has announced its pending closure. According to CCDA Executive Director, Resa Shaner, on Friday, Dana Corporation issued a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification, or “WARN,” to Robinson Mayor, Mike Shimer, and Crawford County Board Chairman, Bill Burke. Dana officials also provided in-person notification to the roughly 85 facility employees. Shaner says per the notice, layoffs are expected to begin in June, with the official facility closure scheduled for October 1st. She says community, regional, and workforce partners are already coordinating resources and support services for affected employees and their families. She says information regarding available assistance, workforce training, job placement resources, and workforce support will be shared as plans are finalized.
