(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded has slipped lower. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $4.08, down two cents from Tuesday’s average. Here in Illinois, the prices are also headed in the right direction. The current statewide average is $4.34 a gallon, three cents lower than the beginning of the week. Indiana drivers are paying an average of $3.85 a gallon, eight cents lower than Monday’s average. Oklahoma continues to have the lowest price in the nation, hovering around $3.41 a gallon. California has the highest average at $5.86 a gallon.
