Lady Statesmen Took Both Games of a Doubleheader

(Undated) — The LTC Lady Statesmen took both games of a Thursday doubleheader against Rend Lake yesterday. In game one, the Lady Statesmen hung on for a narrow 4-3 win. Lily Hickman gave up five hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out seven and walking none en route to the win. In game two, LTC rolled to a 10-7 victory despite trailing by as many as six runs in the contest. Hickman pitched five and one-third innings in relief for LTC, allowing two hits and one run while striking out two and walking two. Kaitlyn Kendall was the starter for LTC and allowed six hits and six runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking one. The Lady Statesmen are 23-24 on the season and are slated to be back in action tomorrow for a road game at Frontier.
