(Robinson) — The Robinson Police Department continues to raise funds for the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. Robinson Police Chief, Eric Schmidt, says they are now selling T-shirts for $20 and hats for $15. He says additionally, this year they are selling shirt pins for $5 and raffle tickets for a “2026 Valor Max golf cart.” Schmidt says items are available for purchase at the Robinson Police Department Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. He says they can also accept direct donations. Schmidt reminds the public that all proceeds and donations benefit Special Olympics Illinois, and neither the department nor the City of Robinson receives any funds from this effort.
