Robinson Rally Comes Up Short

(Robinson) — Robinson’s late rally came up short in an 8-6 loss to Mattoon yesterday. The Maroons lost despite out-hitting Mattoon 11 to nine. Hayden Bonnell, Graysen Brown, and Isaac Hardiman each collected two hits for RHS. Hardiman also took the loss for Robinson, pitching four innings, giving up seven runs on seven hits, striking out two, and walking three. With the loss, the Maroons fall to 11-14 on the season. They are 3-5 in LIC and will be back in action this evening for a home game against Flora. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
