Gas Prices Heading in the Right Direction

(Undated) — Gas prices continue to slip in the right direction for summer travel. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is $4.39, seventeen cents lower than a week ago. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $4.83 gallon, a fifteen-cent decline from last Friday. Across the Wabash in Indiana, the statewide average is $3.77 a gallon, down twenty-four cents from a week ago. Oklahoma has the lowest prices in the nation at $3.83 a gallon, twenty-two cents lower than last Friday. California drivers are paying the highest statewide average at $6.06 a gallon, down seven cents from a week ago.
