Dangerously Hot Weather Forecast for the Week

(Undated) — Dangerously hot and humid weather is forecast for the next several days. According to this morning’s “Hazardous Weather Outlook” from the National Weather Service, heat index readings will climb to near 105 degrees this afternoon. They say the hot and humid weather will persist through Thursday as heat index readings peak at 105 to 110 degrees each afternoon. As a result, there is a “high risk” of heat-related illness in sensitive individuals and those without access to effective cooling. The National Weather Service also says thunderstorms will be possible Friday through Sunday, although the risk for severe weather will remain low.
