Lookout for Roadside Mowing Work

(Undated) — The Illinois Department of Transportation is reminding drivers to slow down during “roadside mowing season.” During the summer, IDOT conducts two primary types of mowing, including safety mowing along the road as needed. The other is maintenance mowing. That involves areas next to culverts, ditches, traffic control devices, and other structures. The heaviest mowing operations will continue through August 15th.
