Oblong Village Board Meets Today

(Oblong) — The Oblong Village Board meets today. They are set to discuss and possibly approve Terry Shaffer to fill the vacant Trustee position, Stone and Waggoner to seek bids for the water tower project, the relocation of the fenced-in park project from South Range to Oblong Park, and the TIF Grant application submitted by Fishes and Loaves. In other business, the Village Board will discuss and possibly approve ordinances related to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, the transfer of real estate, the Halloween Parade and Homecoming Parade road closures, and final plat and certificate of platting for replat of Lot 7 in Phase 1 of Park Meadows Subdivision. Following a closed session, they will discuss and possibly approve filing the Village Clerk’s position. The Oblong Village Board meets this afternoon at 5 p.m. in the Farley Room of Village Hall.
