Gas Prices Trend Higher Heading into the Weekend

(Undated) — Gas prices have climbed higher as we head into the weekend. According to GasBuddy.com, the national average is $4.08 a gallon, four cents higher than last Friday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $4.32 a gallon, five cents higher than a week ago. Across the Wabash in Indiana, the statewide average is $3.62, ten cents higher than a week ago. Louisiana has the lowest prices in the nation, hovering around $3.54 a gallon. California drivers are paying the highest prices in the nation, with a statewide average of $5.57, four cents lower than last Friday.
