***UPDATED*** Early Morning Accident Under Investigation

(Undated) — An early morning two-vehicle accident remains under investigation. According to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department, Deputies responded to the accident involving a semi-tractor-trailer and a passenger car at the intersection of N. Trimble Road and Route 1 at around 5:30 a.m. this morning (Wednesday). The driver of the passenger car, twenty-eight-year-old Trystan J. Sabas, of Indiana, sustained “serious injuries” and was transported to Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville. The driver of the semi, thirty-six-year-old Timothy A. Lee of Casey, IL, did not sustain any known injuries. The intersection was closed down for approximately three hours. United Lifecare Ambulance Service, Crawford County Rescue, Robinson Fire Department, Robinson Police Department, Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), Eddington Wrecker Service of Marshall, IL, and Ayers Towing of Robinson were dispatched to the scene.
