(Hutsonville) — A “Flood Warning” continues for the Wabash River at Hutsonville. According to the National Weather Service, “heavy to extreme rainfall” over the area since the middle of last week is currently causing both moderate and minor flooding on the Wabash River. The “Flood Warning” will remain in effect until August 29th. The National Weather Service says the river is expected to rise to a crest of 23.3 feet Saturday evening and will fall below flood stage on August 28th. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
