(Undated) — Gas prices are trending higher as we head into the weekend. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $4.11 a gallon, up eight cents from the beginning of the week. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $4.41, a twelve-cent jump from Monday. Across the Wabash in Indiana, the statewide average is down three cents, hovering around $3.56, making Indiana the “low price leader.” California drivers are paying the highest prices in the nation, with a statewide average of $5.59 a gallon, six cents higher than Monday.
