Camping at Leaverton Park Canceled Due to Flooding

(Undated) — Camping at Leaverton Park this Labor Day has been canceled. According to authorities, rising waters have flooded the campground, forcing them to cancel camping at the park. In a post on the Palestine Chamber Facebook page, organizers say they know many look forward to staying on-site each year, and they truly regret any inconvenience this may cause. The Palestine Chamber also reminds the public that, despite rumors, the rodeo is still on and all vendors, Main Street activities, and the Beer Tent will continue as planned. Labor Day events get underway on Friday, September 4th with night one of the rodeo.
