National Average for Gas Ticks Higher

(Undated) — Gas prices are up slightly as we head into the weekend. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $4.09 a gallon, three cents higher than Monday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $4.30, six cents lower than Monday. Across the Wabash in Indiana, the statewide average is down seven cents, hovering around $3.44, making Indiana the “low price leader.” California drivers are paying the highest prices in the nation, with a statewide average of $5.64 a gallon, seven cents higher than Monday.
