(Oblong) – A two-vehicle accident south of Oblong sent one to the hospital. According to Crawford County Sheriff, Bill Rutan, at around 1:18 pm yesterday eighty-four-year-old, Jimmie Dennis of Oblong ran into the rear of a 2004 Trailer, being pulled by forty-six-year-old Benjamin Schulte also of Oblong. Reports indicate that Schulte was slowed to turn onto 500 N from 200 E. when the accident occurred. Both vehicles sustained more that fifteen hundred dollars in damage and had to be towed from the scene. Dennis was taken to the hospital by United Life Care Ambulance Service. Oblong Fire Protection and Police Department assisted at the scene.
