(Undated) – We could be in for a “mixed bag” of weather for the Labor Day weekend. According to the latest “Hazardous Weather Outlook” from the National Weather Service, heat indices are forecast to reach 100 to 105 this afternoon. More of the same is in the forecast for tomorrow with afternoon heat indices again reaching as high as 105. They also say thunderstorms will accompany a cold front Friday afternoon into Friday night bringing a “marginal” risk for severe weather, with locally damaging wind gusts and hail the main concerns. The threat of rain is forecast to stick around through Saturday. The good news is the cold front will bring cooler temperatures to the area on Sunday and Monday.
