Gas Prices Continue to Surge Higher

(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded continues to surge higher. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $4.48 a gallon, eighteen cents higher than a week ago. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $4.85 a gallon, a thirty-five-cent jump from last Friday. Across the Wabash in Indiana, the statewide average is $4 a gallon, forty-one cents higher than a week ago. Mississippi is the “low price leader” with a statewide average of $3.95 a gallon. California drivers are paying a statewide average of $6.10 a gallon.
