RHS Soccer Team Wins 6th in a Row

(Robinson) — The RHS Maroons Soccer Team continues to roll, picking up a 6-3 win over Newton yesterday. Hayden Bonnell scored three of the Maroons’ goals, assisted by Cooper Stark and Joel York. Head Coach Hillary Maxwell says both teams came to play and play hard. She says they came in and got two goals pretty early in the first half, setting the pace before Newton started to get their own. The Maroons led at the half 3-2. Maxwell says emotions were high, but the kids went back into the second half and did the job the way they needed to, and came away with the win. With the win, the Maroons improve to 8-3 on the season. They are 3-1 in the LIC and will be riding a six-game winning streak into tomorrow’s home contest against Altamont.
