Gas Prices Tick Up Ahead of Holiday Travel

(Undated) – The fall in gas prices appears to have reversed slightly as we head into the Labor Day weekend. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average has ticked up four cents from Monday to $3.35 a gallon. Here in Illinois, the statewide average has climbed three cents from Monday to $3.68 a gallon. However, Indiana drivers are enjoying prices that are nine cents lower from Monday, falling to $3.27 a gallon. Mississippi is the “low price leader” nationwide with an average of $2.84 a gallon. California drivers are paying the most with a statewide average of $4.59 a gallon.
