Zimmerman Sentenced to Twelve Years in the IDOC

(Undated) — A Palestine man was sentenced to time in the IDOC during an August 16th Crawford County court appearance. According to Crawford County State’s Attorney, Cole Shaner, Denzil Zimmerman was sentenced to twelve years on the Class 1 Felony charge of Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident Resulting in Death. He was also sentenced to seven years on a Class 2 Felony charge of Aggravated Driving Under the Influence. The two sentences are to run concurrently. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the prosecution of these cases.
