(Undated) — The price at the pump continues to slip slightly lower. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is $4.38, five cents lower than Monday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is down seven cents at $4.68. In Indiana, the statewide average is $3.79 a gallon, a dime lower than the beginning of the week, making Indiana the “low price leader.” California has the highest prices in the nation, with a statewide average of $6.39 a gallon, an eight-cent increase from Monday.
